Charleston, South Carolina Travel Guide

To celebrate our first anniversary, Bodie and I took a long weekend trip to Charleston. We really wanted to go somewhere that neither of us had been before and I’ve been dying to go for as long as I can remember, so Charleston it was! It’s crazy to think it’s already been a year of marriage and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate! We had so much fun exploring (and let’s be honest, eating) our way through this charming city.

We stayed at the Dewberry and it was honestly one of the best decisions of the entire trip. From the amazing service to the beautiful decor to the giant cloud of a bed, we cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Everything was covered in white marble, brass, and copper and I was obsessed with every inch of the place!

Charleston is known for its good food, good drinks, and rooftop bars. We definitely took advantage of this during our trip and our days were pretty much planned around our meals! Other than eating, we spent so much time just walking and exploring the city. Shoutout to Bodie for his patience while I stopped every 10 feet to take a photo because everything was just that beautiful!

Basically, if you haven’t been to Charleston yet, YOU NEED TO GO! And here’s a little list to help you plan your trip!
